Tania Vourvachis

Public & Banking sector

My name is Tania Vourvachis. I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, but both of my parents are of Greek descent.

I was lucky and had the opportunity to grow up speaking three languages. I spoke Greek, English and French with equal fluency.

I finished school and continued my studies at Algonquin College as an English (foreign/secondary language) teacher. Back then I thought I would live in Canada, until I made a trip to Greece to see my mother who lived in Messinia; it was destiny which led me to meet Tasos, the father of my children. And that’s how I ended up staying here permanently.

I did not pursue my degree professionally because I worked alongside my husband in his business.

Years later, coming to this day, I see how times are changing. I now work with my daughters and I feel very proud of this.

I am responsible for everything that has to do with routine formalities and the day-to-day interaction with government, banks and other institutions. Taking care of all the above contributes significantly to the smooth running and sustainability of a business.

I make sure that we stay in touch with all administrative bodies because they are key players that positively influence our course and development.
