Our History
1955
The family name you bear is great legacy that makes you proud.
History is always made by people; ours began before the mid-1950s, by great-grandfather Nikos and grandfather Mitsos.
They had a bandsaw machine and made carts and barrels for the villagers of Messinia.
Back then, this was a good-paying job since both products were in great demand.
1977
A few years later business goes on, unchanged, for the gentleman in the photo above right. Mr Mitsos, a barrel maker and cartwright, carved with great care and skill all wooden parts that he laid his hands on. The main tool of his trade was the bandsaw.
He used the oak, which he would cut and then dry for some time until it was ready for the final treatment.
This was a rather laborious work, but the result was more than rewarding.
1989
The new generation has already taken over.
Tasos and Andreas, our dad and our uncle, are in now charge.
They travelled abroad to study and came back to set up their own vision. Their memories were full of wood and sawdust. So they decided to buy a large 15-acre land plot on which they built a pallet-making factory.
They realised that everything that is transported is loaded on wooden pallets.
And thus their idea was born.
1995
Seven years after founding their company, their life still revolves around wood and timber.
They bought logs which they processed and turned into pallets.
Some of the machines on the production line included log carriages, multiple ripsaws, bandsaws and capping machines.
Proper equipment and professionalism, coupled with their ability to adapt to their customers’ requirements, ensured the best results.
2002
The millennium change signalled the coming of golden years.
They had decided to expand their business into trading building materials.
They established partnerships with domestic building materials companies.
Building had now evolved into a science.
This day
Which brings us to the present.
From the beginning of our family’s journey in the wood business to this day, there have been several legal changes. However, the guiding principle has always been the same: the passion and love for wood.
We have a modern plant at our disposal, and we aim to properly use the experience and know-how gained throughout these years to manufacture pallets to suit the needs of our market.
We have also set up a large distribution network for cement, the most fundamental building material.
We keep up with global technological developments and strive to stay ahead of changes.
We take great pride in our cooperation with major industries in the country; it is through their products that our pallets reach every corner of Greece and beyond.
We carve our own path in our family name’s long history, and we would like you to join us.
