Marina Hantzara

Quality & Operations Manager

My name is Marina Hantzara and I am very happy to meet you. I finished school in Messinia, specifically in the town of Meligalas.

I developed a deep love for mathematics from an early age. Still, I did not become a mathematician. Being good in maths, however, helped me to more easily understand the way of scaling wood that my dad was trying to teach me. This is a very important factor in our business; sound accounting and financial data is not enough.

My own studies began at the Athens University of Economics and Business, in the Department of Economic Science.

While studying, I also decided to accept a professional offer to join a law firm. Spending four years there was a good opportunity for to combine, on both a theoretical and practical level, two sciences that are essential in every aspect of our lives, namely economics and law.

My graduation ceremony was rather uneventful, since it was scheduled in the midst of a Covid-19 pandemic, but I was never too excited about such things anyway. For me, all that mattered was to keep my degree and ‘run’ back to what I knew to do best: to get involved with the quality of our materials, to organise our production management, to evaluate the raw material for our products and to analyse costs. For me, product quality is the be-all and end-all of success.

Of utmost significance for a properly organised and successful company is also the people who work for it. What I treasure most is to inspire respect to the employees who work in our business. It is so important, in fact, that it doesn’t matter if they call me by my first name.

And so here I am now, committed to those goals.
